What is Kangaroo Media Inc.?
Kangaroo TV, headquartered in Montréal, Québec (Canada), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kangaroo Media Inc., which is publicly traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) as KTV. Kangaroo TV delivers innovative, interactive and full-service wireless audio-visual solutions for on-site sports events providing to the fans exclusive content, putting them in the driver's seat of their own live-action experience.
What is Kangaroo TV (the company)?
It is a subsidiary of Kangaroo Media Inc.
The company develops, manufactures, and at this time markets the Kangaroo TV, IVT-200 a unique handheld spectator device, at sports events such as Champ Car World Series, NASCAR, Formula 1 and NFL. The company has begun its full-scale rollout at all types of sports and spectator events.
What is Kangaroo TV (IVT-200)?
Kangaroo TV is a unique handheld spectator device that allows fans attending live events to see and hear all of the action, all of the time. Kangaroo TV underwent a pilot test at motor sport events and its application featured four live broadcast channels (event-feed, in-car cameras, pit cameras, replays), user-friendly team radio communication access, live official timing and scoring data.
Is the Kangaroo TV for sale?
Kangaroo’s hand-held device, branded the NASCAR NEXTEL FanView at all NASCAR races, will be offered for purchase by Sprint/Nextel this summer. In regards to F1 races and NFL games, a timeframe for sale of the Kangaroo TV is yet to be determined. This section of our website will keep you informed on all developments.
What are the rental costs for the Kangaroo TV?
Day rental at NASCAR races are $50 US and weekend rental are $70 US. The rental costs for F1 races will be defined through our market research with the fans. Cost to rent a Kangaroo TV device in Miami for a Dolphin game or in Washington for a Redskins game is $39.95 US per game. This section of our website will keep you informed on all developments.
Where can I rent the Kangaroo TV at NASCAR races?
The NASCAR NEXTEL FanView is available at track. Look for the FanView Yellow Hauler on Vendor Row and at any Racing Electronics location.
For the Formula 1 events, look for our Kangaroo TV kiosk located in the F1 village.
Why do I have poor or no video?
Poor video is usually a sign of bad reception or low battery. Make sure you’re within signal range and that your antenna is properly connected. Check your battery level and if it is low, replace the battery. If the problem persists bring your device back to a kiosk.
Why does my device shut itself off?
A sign that the battery is low, so either replace the battery or plug in the device.
Why is my signal strength low?
Low signal strength can be caused by interference (being inside a building), or being too far from the source of the signal. Be sure your antenna is connected properly.
Why can’t I hear any audio?
Ensure your earphones are correctly plugged into the device, check the volume level (see: Getting to know your Kangaroo / Device) or press the AUDIO button and make sure it’s enabled (marked “X”).
How do I change and/or recharge the battery?
Start by pulling down on the latch on the back of the device and then lift open the cover. To remove the battery, push downwards and lift the battery out.
To recharge the battery lift open the rubber cover on the left side of the device (just above the volume controls) and plug in the charger. Recharging can take up to 5 hours.
My Kangaroo isn’t responding, what do I do?
Rarely, it’s possible that your device can become non responsive. The best way to solve the problem is to re-start your device. If this happens more than once, bring your device back to the kiosk for a replacement.
Why isn’t my Kangaroo locking on a signal?
If your device doesn’t find a signal, check the following:
- Make sure your antenna is properly connected
- Make sure you’re within signal range
- Check the Kangaroo TV broadcast times
I entered my event code but I get an error.
Make sure you have entered the proper event code (4 digits), then check to make sure you are within signal rage.
